Kurnool Sangameswara Temple

Located at the confluence of the Bhavansi and Krishna Rivers, the beautiful Sangameswara Temple is located in the foreshore of the Srisailam Reservoir. The temple was submerged for a while in the waters. A rather ancient and old temple, the temple is believed to have been installed by Yudhistira or Dharamaraja the eldest of the five Pandavas. An interesting feature of this temple is that the lingam of Shiva is made of wood.
